'Mahal Kita'
John Baptiste
Kicking off 2019 in full force, armed with a killer EP by label-head Amuze and tech-warrior John Baptiste with incredible remixes by Doppel, TAYA and Mha Iri.
The original track is packed with drive straight from the get go, soaring with an array of glitched vocal soundscapes like an extraterrestrial black box transmission sent back to earth. The progressive synth work fuels the constant movement, constantly building before erupting into the signature electro inspired main-stage lead - tight as a whistle and executed with class.
Doppel then flips the track on its head with a slower paced low-slung groover that crosses a range of genres and energies, so delicately written with serious attention to detail throughout the composition. An exploration through a range of bushy outdoor knocks and stabs to polish the vibe and he's absolutely nailed it.
TAYA dives a little deeper and takes you on a cruisy tech journey with his organic soundscapes and humming percussion. Delicate production, rich in energy and sweeter than sugar, one to keep the feet moving and elbows held high.
Last but not least, Mha Iri completes the EP with her hard-hitting rendition. Lead by the thumping kick, razor sharp hats and then accompanied by her additional whisper.
